In these 60 minute events, Dr. Neff will be joined by a colleague whose work touches on self-compassion. These free-flowing conversations will focus on guests’ views of the importance of self-compassion in the work they do.  In addition to conversations with well-known luminaries, we’ll also focus on special topics such as self-compassion for teens, clinical applications, parenting, and so on. Time will be reserved at the end of each conversation for questions from participants.
Richard Schwartz developed the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model of psychotherapy to explore the role that our different parts play in trying to keep us safe, and the importance of having compassion for all our parts.

Reserve a SpotSelf-compassion involves giving ourselves what we need in the moment to alleviate suffering. Sometimes we need acceptance, sometimes we need to take action. Â This toolkit will provide a variety of empirically-supported self-compassion practices to help you meet your needs with strength and warmth. Â
These newly recorded guided practices are targeted toward different types of struggle such as feeling inadequate, caregiver distress, coping with difficult emotions, the need to stand up for yourself, the need to relax, and more. Practices are of different lengths, including mini practices (3 minutes or less) that can be used on the spot in daily life! New practices will be added continually.

These one hour drop-in group Zoom sessions (held at a wide variety of times) are led by experienced self-compassion mentors.  It’s a great opportunity to get guidance and feedback about your self-compassion practice. Some sessions are also available for more experienced practitioners. While mentor sessions may be therapeutic, they are not therapy sessions but instead focus on building skills and resources. You can preview the full schedule here
In the learning corner, you can view short videos of Dr. Neff teaching about various self-compassion topics: basic concepts, fierce self-compassion, the science of self-compassion, compassionate motivation, working with difficult emotions, self-compassion for caregivers, core values, and much more.
