Workshop Description

The US Surgeon General recently warned that parenting can be hazardous to your health. The New Yorker magazine published  a recent essay that announced “The End of Parenting.”  So many parents (and grandparents and teachers) are feeling panic. We are already stressed out due to wars, the economy, climate change and world events. What can we do? Will mindfulness and compassion help us find some balance and equanimity?

In this workshop, Dr. Susan Pollak, psychologist, parenting expert and best-selling author will discuss the stresses that most parents experience, teach practices of mindfulness and compassion, and offer helpful reflections on the stress you might experience in your life.

Who can benefit from this workshop? Parents of children of any age or professionals supporting parents. CE credits are available, see below for more information.
