Conversation with Richard Schwartz
Richard Schwartz, PhD is the internationally renown creator of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapeutic approach (see him talk about it here). IFS helps people identify internal parts such as protectors, managers and exiles, and develop compassion and appreciation for how these parts try to keep us safe. IFS also introduces the idea of Self, which is behind our parts and is naturally compassionate. He's the best-selling author of many books, including Introduction to Internal Family Systems and No Bad Parts. His recent book You Are the One You've Been Waiting For helps people to stop outsourcing love and compassion to their romantic partner and instead find true satisfaction and fulfillment within.
Join us for a compelling conversation as we delve into the role of self-compassion in Dick's life and the role that self-compassion plays in bringing healing to our internal parts and our relationships.
