International Self-Compassion Day
A Day to Turn Inward with Kindness
On July 19, 2025, join people around the world to do something quietly radical: give yourself the same care and compassion you normally extend to others.
International Self-Compassion Day (which occurs on the third Saturday of every July) is a time to reflect, reconnect, and recommit to meeting ourselves with kindness—especially in moments of struggle.
Why Self-Compassion Matters
Life is hard. We all face self-doubt, failure, loss, and pain. But how we relate to ourselves in these moments can make all the difference. Self-compassion isn’t self-pity or self-indulgence—it’s a powerful inner resource that increases resilience, emotional well-being, and connection with others.
Thousands of studies conducted across the globe have shown that self-compassion:
- Reduces anxiety and depression
- Increases motivation and accountability
- Builds inner strength and emotional balance
- Helps us care for others without burning out
