Ann Saffi Biasetti, PhD is a practicing psychotherapist and MSC teacher who specializes in using self-compassion to help people develop a healthier relationship with food and their bodies. She is the author of Befriending Your Body: A Self-Compassionate Approach to Freeing Yourself from Disordered Eating. She developed the Befriending Your Body Program, a trauma-informed course that teaches skills of embodiment and self-compassion to heal disordered eating patterns. Her work also focuses on body forgiveness and healing body image disturbance.
Join us for a conversation with Ann as we explore how self-compassion can help us work with negative body image, emotional eating, and disordered eating so that we can make peace with our bodies, food, and ourselves.
These mentor sessions are designed for people who have been practicing mindfulness or self-compassion for a year or more and who are familiar with basic concepts. They will provide an opportunity to deepen your practice, discuss challenges, and explore more advanced self-compassion topics. This session is facilitated by Aimee Eckhardt.
