Laurie Santos is the Chandrika and Ranjan Tandon Professor of Psychology at Yale University and a leading expert on the science of happiness and human cognition. She studies how our minds mislead us about what truly makes us happy and shares evidence-based strategies to help people make wiser choices and live more fulfilling lives.

Her popular Yale course, Psychology and the Good Life, became the university’s most enrolled course in over 300 years and has been featured by the New York Times, NBC Nightly News, The Today Show, GQ, Slate, and O! Magazine. Its online version, The Science of Well-Being on Coursera, has reached over 4 million learners worldwide. Laurie’s podcast, The Happiness Lab, is a top-three Apple podcast with over 100 million downloads. She has been recognized by Popular Science as one of the “Brilliant 10” young minds and by Time Magazine as a “Leading Campus Celebrity.”
