Lisa Baylis is a certified MSC teacher, high school counselor, and mother. She is also the author of Self-Compassion for Educators: Mindful Practices to Awaken Wellbeing and Grow Your Resilience. She created the Courageous Compassion for Educators program, a six-week online course that helps educators create a culture of compassion, awareness, and presence in the classroom. Teachers experience high rates of stress, burnout, and turnover. Lisa helps them use self-compassion to be resilient while modeling the skill of self-compassion for students.
Join us for a conversation as we explore how self-compassion can help teachers do their essential work in the world with the resource of self-compassion. This supportive mindset not only enhances educators’ well-being and reduces burnout, it reconnects them to their core values and helps restore the joy of teaching.
