Membership: Community-Supported Learning and Practice
Created by Kristin Neff, the Self-Compassion Community offers online resources to support your self-compassion journey as you go through life. On day one, you’ll get access to the one-hour Self-Compassion Intro Course included in your membership. To help sustain and grow your practice, there are different types of community events, a practice toolkit, and a library of topic-specific videos to choose from. Try it free for the first two weeks.
Workshops: Explore Specific Topic Areas with Expert Teachers
The Self-Compassion Community and partner organizations sponsor workshops by Kristin Neff and her incredible colleagues. They are either in-person or online, and you can watch them live or recorded. For instance, Kristin teaches short workshops on Self-Compassion Essentials, Fierce Self-Compassion, Self-Compassion for Work Stress and Burnout, and Self-Compassion for Caregivers. Colleagues focus on a wide range of other self-compassion topics.
Books: Get the Big Picture and Absorb Knowledge thru Reading
Kristin Neff has written several books that lay out the theory, research, and practices that spur growth and learning. Self-Compassion is a great entry point to being kinder to yourself. Fierce Self-Compassion helps you take action and stand up for yourself. The MSC Workbook and MSC for Burnout help you apply the practices to your daily life, while Teaching the MSC Program is designed for professionals wanting to bring self-compassion into their work.
In-Depth Training: The Center for Mindful Self-Compassion
The Center for Mindful Self-Compassion is a non-profit co-founded by Kristin Neff and Chris Germer that offers several different in-depth training programs. The empirically supported Mindful Self-Compassion Program (MSC) is offered both online and in-person. Also available are Fierce Self-Compassion, Self-Compassion for Shame, and Self-Compassion for Healthcare Communities. Teacher training is offered for MSC graduates.
