Description
This is a recording of a 3-hour live workshop is designed to help clinicians integrate self-compassion into their therapy practices. There is growing empirical evidence for self-compassion as a transdiagnostic and transtheoretical mechanism of action in therapy. This workshop recording is an introduction to the theory, research and practice of self-compassion-based therapy, comprehensively described in the new book by Mindful Self-Compassion teachers Galia Tyano Ronen and Shari Geller – Grounding Psychotherapy in Self-Compassion. We explore the three levels in which self-compassion can be integrated into psychotherapy—compassionate presence, compassionate relationship, and compassionate interventions. Special attention is given to working with trauma and shame. This workshop consists of talks, short meditations, discussion and additional Q&A session with Chris.
