Monica C. Worline, PhD, is an organizational psychologist and the visionary behind EnlivenWork, where she guides companies in cultivating courage, compassion, and curiosity as essential drivers of innovation and meaningful work. She is affiliated with Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, where she contributes to advancing scientific understanding of compassion in professional settings. Monica also leads CompassionLab, an international research community dedicated to studying compassion in organizations, and teaches at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business as part of the Center for Positive Organizations.

Jane E. Dutton, PhD, is a renowned scholar in organizational psychology and a Distinguished University Professor at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Her career has centered on uncovering how people create meaningful, life-giving experiences at work through compassion, connection, and personal agency. She has authored an extensive body of scholarship—including over one hundred academic articles and thirteen books and is widely recognized for shaping the field of positive organizational scholarship. As a cofounder of both the Center for Positive Organizations and CompassionLab, she continues to champion research that helps workplaces support human thriving.

Together, they co-authored Awakening Compassion at Work: The Quiet Power that Elevates People and Organizations, available wherever books are sold.
