Join this empowering workshop on practicing fierce and tender self-compassion. The workshop provides simple tools for responding in a supportive, compassionate way whenever we are experiencing painful emotions or life challenges. We all want to avoid pain, but letting it in—and responding compassionately to our own imperfections without harsh self-condemnation—are essential steps toward living happier, more fulfilling lives.

In this workshop, Kristin helps participants examine the quintessential question of self-compassion, “What do I need right now?” and more specifically, “What do I need to help alleviate my suffering?” The answer to this question changes depending on the circumstances. Tender self-compassion uses acceptance to soothe and nurture ourselves. Fierce self-compassion uses action to protect ourselves and provide for our needs. It motivates us to make needed changes in our lives not because we’re worthless or inadequate but because we care about ourselves and want to lessen our suffering.
