Attend a live online 45-minute introductory group session to learn the basics about the issues that caregivers face when trying to teach self-compassion to children. You will learn why it’s important to help children (and you!) grow in self-compassion and experience a playful activity that helps kids embrace all their feelings. Highlights will be given from Jamie Lynn Tatera’s upcoming workshop which teaches caregivers how to foster self-compassion in children using engaging activities, fun metaphors, and playful exercises.

The session will be recorded. Within a day or two of the event, we will send all registrants a link to the recording, which you can review at your convenience for the next 30 days.
Once you register for the session, you will immediately receive a confirmation email.
Two weeks before the session, you will receive an email with details about the workshop and the Zoom link. Â
Two hours before the session, you will receive a reminder email with the Zoom link.
After the session, you will receive an email with a link to view the recording. Â

Our programs are designed to teach participants the tools needed to develop and cultivate a self-compassion practice. It is not a substitute for mental health care, personal therapy or medical treatment.
Personal safety and emotional wellbeing are the foundation of self-compassion training and you are primarily responsible for your own safety.
Teachers and facilitators are not expected or able to provide medical and/or psychological care. Course experiences may bring up challenging memories or feelings.
If you have a history with a serious mental health condition or other concerns you think may impact your ability to take this course, please contact us or your healthcare professional to determine if this course is right for you. Your personal contact information may be used in the event the teacher or facilitator reasonably determines a need to call emergency services on your behalf.
Participation is at the discretion of the teachers and facilitators at all times.
If, in the opinion of the teachers and facilitators, you are unable to participate productively and appropriately in the event you have registered for, you may be asked to discontinue.
Decisions of removal are to ensure that we provide the safest space possible for our participants and teachers.Â
Parent-Child Self-Compassion Educator and Author
Jamie Lynn Tatera is an educator and author with a passion for helping children and their caregivers become more self-compassionate. She is a certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher and developer and teacher trainer of the Mindfulness and Self-Compassion for Children and Caregivers (MSC-CC) program, a researched parent-child adaptation of the Mindful Self-Compassion program. Jamie Lynn has taught mindfulness and self-compassion to children ages 3-18, and she is the author of the Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Workbook for Kids.
